Mommy Jan, her husband JJ, and baby Jay* have truly experienced both trials and blessings.
From the moment Mommy Jan arrived at Glory Reborn, she felt cared for. She appreciated the moments spent in prayer over her and her baby at each checkup-something uniquely offered by Glory Reborn. These prayers were going to prove to be so impactful and protective as Mommy Jan. At eight months pregnant she survived the Cebu earthquakes (6.9 intensity and 5.8). Moving quickly out of her humble home, amidst shaking ground, not once but twice, was not an easy thing but God was protecting Mommy Jan and her growing baby. They were safe amidst the earthquakes. Jesus was truly her protection in these unstable moments.
After a supportive, prayerful, and gentle birth Mommy Jan and Daddy JJ embraced their baby in their arms in those first precious moments. A Healthy Family had been born. Now with a 5 day old newborn Mommy Jan and Daddy JJ clung onto each other and called out to Jesus as a massive typhoon and flood raged through their home. Surviving together through the wind, rain and flood on a second floor and watching their earthly belongings wash away they were grateful to survive!
As Glory Reborn distributed relief goods to families there was Mommy Jan, Daddy JJ and baby Jay, smiling despite loosing everything because God had faithfully protected them through earthquakes and typhoons. The impact of the prayer moments over the past months was so evident today. With a little help Mommy Jan and Daddy JJ are ready to rebuild and journey together with Jesus as a Healthy Family with Hopeful Hearts.
