We are so excited to share with you the wonderful things we have witnessed at Glory Reborn in the month of May!
This month, our hearts were deeply moved by Mommy Leah*, who recently gave birth to her second beautiful baby girl here at Glory Reborn. As we celebrated her sweet newborn's birth-day, we recognized just how powerful this moment was: Leah’s husband was actually born at Glory Reborn back in 2004! Now, two entire generations of this precious family have taken their very first breaths within our walls. Two generations prayed over and dedicated at birth within our humble walls.
With deep gratitude, Mommy Leah shared that Glory Reborn is a place where she truly feels valuable. Throughout her labor, she was surrounded by the warmth and kindness of our doula and healthcare team, who supported her through every single contraction. She shared that in the most vulnerable moments of childbirth, she felt completely safe, deeply cared for, and never alone. This is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do, and how impactful your partnership and prayers truly are, because generations are being birthed safely, supported, valued, and dedicated to the Lord. I can hardly believe that we have witnessed two generations, but my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for you and for the faithfulness of Christ. Truly, we have witnessed the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, and I'm excited to watch what the Lord will do from generation to generation.*Name changed for privacy
We were also blessed by the recent visit and time of worship together with Circuit Riders and the Glory Reborn team. As David and I shared with these young men and women how God birthed Glory Reborn through us when we were just 22 it was a profound, full-circle moment. Standing in Glory Reborn, in the very same city where my own calling began 23 years ago, I saw the bright future of hope that is ahead. We are now the mentors and prayer warriors, honored to pray over this next generation as they rise to serve the Lord in the nations.
This month we also celebrated World Maternal Mental Health Day! Our amazing Wellness Team transformed our clinic into a safe haven where learning and healing sessions happened. Creative rooms were set up with opportunities for painting, drawing, and prayer. Both online and in-person learning sessions filled hearts and minds, focusing on important topics like nutrition, birth planning, mental wellness strategies, and prayer. We are deeply honored to be entrusted to nurture mothers throughout their mental wellness journeys.
Our recent Blooming Gems event brought together our largest turnout yet, welcoming moms and daughters aged 5 to 9! Together, we focused on their true identity in Christ, cultivating healthy bodies and emotions, and establishing safe boundaries. We approached the vital topic of body safety and child protection with gentle, age appropriate wisdom, empowering mothers and daughters with tools to protect their futures.
From shared giggles and bracelet making to writing beautiful affirmations on mirrors, these blooming gems sparkled with strengthened connections and deeper love. The ultimate highlight was witnessing the sweet exchange of moms speaking blessings over their daughters, and daughters speaking blessings over their moms. It is a powerful, essential work to protect and equip these little women so they can truly bloom in health, safety, and confidence in Christ!
